Live music with Elias Niskanen Trio — at the Lang’s House courtyard, Thursday, June 26th, 2025, starting at 6:00 PM.

This young and energetic trio brings the swing and freedom of 1960s jazz tradition to the stage.
Their repertoire is a blend of jazz standards and original compositions, drawing inspiration from the likes of Wes Montgomery, Wayne Shorter, and Sonny Rollins. Elements of rock also find their way into the sound — in the spirit of Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

The story comes full circle as guitarist Elias Niskanen, originally from Ii and now based in Helsinki, returns with his trio to the courtyard of his grandmother’s home in Old Raahe — the very place where he first picked up an electric guitar as a young boy.

Expect an evening of jazz colored by the tones of hard bop and post-bop, enriched with stories from Raahe and its people, and infused with the vibrant, swinging sound of live jazz.
